This was the 5th year in a row that we are here while on vacation. Sadly it will be our last. We were very disappointed this year. Overcooked prime rib, daughter got sick from the pasta bar and the manager didn't seem to care. In search of another seafood buffet.
This was my first and last time coming to this establishment. Food was good but the managers were AWFUL!!! Started with there being an attitude because my mother has a back problem and we wanted to be seated closer to the bar and not all the way in the back of the restaurant(mind you we were the second customers there), next my sister found hair in her newly unwrapped silverware, the manager did accommodate us and make her meal free. I LOVE THE GIANT CRAB. WE HAVE BEEN COMING HERE SINCE OUR HONEYMOON IN FEBUARY OF 1998! THE SELECTION OF FOOD IS AMAZING! BIGGEST SELECTION ON THE BEACH! THE CRAB LEGS ARE ALWAYS HOT AND FRESH! THE DRINKS ARE GREAT. I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE STEAK AND HIBATCHI BAR! EVERYTHING IS GREAT.
I really hated this place. There are plenty of seafood buffets to go to in this area but I chose this one because I thought it might be kid friendly since I was dining with my 4 year old grand daughter. I wish I had read the reviews first. Literally everything that I tried on the buffet was awful. I've never been to a buffet where even the crab legs taste bad. They were too salty and they taste old. Absolutely the worse buffet to date! I asked to talk to manager she said she was one, so I explained, my wife could not eat her first plate of food and got physically sick, and I only ate a few shrimp and could not even cut the prime rib. So here was her statement.. "well since you did eat something I'll just charge you for half price, which is the cost of salad bar" the 4 of us was still well over 100.00 bucks and I felt like I was ripped off as soon as I went out the door! Best buffet in Myrtle Beach. It's worth the wait and the price. Love the crab legs, steaks, prime rib, ect. Not to mention the service. Everytime we come to Myrtle Beach we always dine here. We told our friends about it and they feel the same.
My family ate at The Giant Crab and we were all throwing up all evening. I messaged the restaurant to tell them. They saw the message but never replied. Guess they don't care if their customers pay $32 a person to be sick.
