I was sent here to be treated for back pain. My doctors’ preference was for me to taper off pain medication that was prescribed 8 years ago. In all that time, with pain treatment at two practices, I have fully complied with all requirements, never took a higher dose or any non-prescribed pain medication. Rude and impatient doctor who only wants to do injections. He isn't interested in you as a patient if you aren't going to make him money. His staff mirrors his lack of patience. He wants you to receive his overpriced injections every two months, and he will close the file on you if you can't afford them.
This Dr knows what he's doing: professional, trustworthy, & knowledgeable. His only fault is burning the candle at both ends trying to help patients.
Dr. Checa and his staff (thanks Suz, Lauren, and Karissa) have helped my family members through seemingly untreatable pain cases. We are very grateful to him and the staff.
He loses interest in you if you aren’t doing injections. He was rude and impatient with me on 3 occasions, and each involved injections. I don’t have the cash to do them every 2 months.
Prescription was not sent to pharmacy
Has always listened, explained himself and the procedures he was preforming in a way I could understand. Has always been caring, thoughtful, professional, and helpful. I find his sense of humor enlightening even when I’ve been in severe pain.
Dr. Checa is thorough, honest, professional, and he is kind. He makes certain the patient is comfortable with directives before parting ways and is always timely. Dr. Checa has been instrumental helping me manage a life with pain over the last (nearly) seven years. I’ve had occasion to interact with others in the practice and have not been disappointed with Dr. Checas office partners. You would absolutely be remiss not to consider Dr. Checa/MD Pain if you seek a pain management practice.
Would not recommend for chronic pain. His treatment options are more suited for an individual with recent/new injury. The patients concerns and years of experience dealing with their situation take a back seat to his personal opinion.
