Expect better! I agree with Norm's comments. We had one 10" and one large Margarita Pizza, one shrimp (special) meal, and 3 glasses of wine; totaled up to $75+ with tip! Too much money for what we got! Tickets seem intentionally poorly written and confusing so it takes a CPA to track the charges. Too much money for medicore food! The place was pretty empty when we were there on a Friday night, but given our experience that's not a suprise!
Take out only... Never had a bad experience, rate is as one of the better pizza's in town, but then I always got take-out, sometimes delivery. Will keep going back!
Forgot how they got there! Went for fish on a Friday. One small piece of baked cod and vegetables, two salads, 1/2 of a small pizza, and three glasses of wine = $47! That's before the tip! No Way If you are visiting Rockford you will not find good pizza here, disgusting, never know what you'll get, burnt crust, wrong crust, stomach ache, creepy delivery drivers. Many better options available. They rely on hotel guests because locals won't return.
Gerry's Pizza will serve you well I went to Gerry's because it is local. You know that when you see the staff working that it is a locally owned business and the service was exceptional. I had a side salad with ranch which was tasty and standard. The eggplant sticks were very tasty with the marinara sauce and I ordered them because I haven't seen them on a menu before. Best pizza in Rockford! Although there are several pizza places I love, Gerry's is the best. I love their pizzas and garlic bread most of all, but they have daily pasta specials and sandwiches. I haven't tried everything yet, which gives me more excuses to keep going back! The location is great and the atmosphere is homey an friendly. My husband and I have taken to going there for Sunday lunch and we have the same great waitreses each time.
This place SUCKS! I had the misfortune of eating at this place, and my opinion, is that it sucks! The food is greasy and tasted stale! And the wait staff/owners suck too. Skip this place!
Gerry's Pizza is BAD BAD BAD... I have ordered here quite a few times but NEVER AGAIN! The crust is burned 90% of the time along with the cheese being raw, can you explain that? The consistency of the crust varies every time we order. The waitstaff is VERY rude and most of the time my family has to walk up and ask for our own refills. I don't know if they roll through staff but my biggest problem with this place is the inconsistency of the service and mostly the FOOD!!
wow i cant believe i paid for that drivel. first they got my order wrong so i had to drive another half hour there and back, and when i opened the pizza box i saw something that might've been a pizza had it been assembled correctly. the staff had no idea that they were slacking off and not giving me adequate customer service. the atmosphere was one of happiness and good times, but thats really only true if you were a 50 something guy with a fat billfold trying to hit on the nasty looking waitresses.
