I stop here every time I’m in town, the food and service are excellent
Awesome barbecue! The waitress was so great too! It’s a small place but so worth the wait!
The Commissary was recommended to me by a chef friend who knows his stuff. Went last night on a trip to Memphis but have to say I was really disappointed. I’ve been cooking on a smoker for years and have become a bit of a bbq snob and found the pork ok (nice and moist but no smoke flavor) and the ribs were tough and dry. Service and environment were great. Perhaps just caught them on an off night or got ribs that had been sitting under a warmer awhile. If I get back to Memphis, I’ll be looking elsewhere for bbq.

Holy crap. Just an amazing amazing meal. Came from Nashville. Had the sampler platter. Extra sausage. Samantha was our server and she took such great care of us. So sweet. Recommended the perfect meal. Can’t recommend it enough.
Good service, good food and good atmosphere. The ribs are delicious, the beans and slaw are very good as well. My wife and I had lunch there 2/3/18 and was not disappointed. First time but not the last!!
Some of the best BBQ in the Memphis area and the coconut pie is awesome.
