Dr. Cibis died several years ago. He was all business but a fabulous doctor. You had to get to know him!!!
This man had horrible bedside manner, he was the savior of my daughters eye sight. When we first met him she was near blind in one eye and had such a lazy eye you saw more sclera than iris. She wore glasses and patched from age 3 until she was about 10. No surgery. He saw a colleagues son after a devastating injury to his eye and it was suggested there was no hope. I highly recommend finding a nicer children’s eye doctor. I took my 3 year old son for one appointment and wasn’t impressed with his demeanor and how he handled children but was fine otherwise. My sons dad took him in for his next appointment, and this transaction is what led me to decide we will never be returning and hope to warn other parents when taking their young children in to see this doctor. I was a patient of this man for the last several years. He misdiagnosed my issue, and I wore prism glasses for several years for no reason at all. Consequently I went to a neuro ophthalmologist and I was treated correctly. Dr. Cibis dismissed my issues as if they were not real, however he just missed the actual diagnosis. Consequently I wore the wrong eyewear and suffered for years. When I tried to explain my problems, he had a terrible bedside manner. I found a good Dr. now. Thanks.
