Dr. Sison has always been an excellent Dr. in my opinion. I saw him when I was about 13-15 yrs. for a few yrs. Then I started seeing Dr. Sison again in 2022 & I'm still seeing him. Even though he had a family emergency this yr. & wasn't able to be at his office he did his absolute best to try & get me taken care of (my pharmacy wanted a diagnosis code written on my script but he was there to write it so the pharm wouldn't fill it. I was seeing Dr. Sison back in 2021 and I had to stop due to losing my job and insurance. I was going through a lot and I just now finally got insurance again and Dr. Sison is in-network, so I called to set up an appointment and they refused because they said it's been too long and I would be considered a new patient, but he's not taking new patients. Very professional and caring
I feel that Dr. Sison listened to my concerns. Made me feel very comfortable. I am always at ease speaking with him. Charlene at the front desk is always very polite and friendly. I am very happy with my treatment and visits.
This is the guy who put me on full-dose Paxil when I was ELEVEN, left me on it for over a year despite multiple family members telling him it was making me so nonfunctioning I was having trouble stringing a sentence together, and then pulled me off it cold-turkey when my father told him to change something or he'd stop paying. You aren't even ALLOWED to put 11 year olds on Paxil. Thanks, buddy, I sure enjoy as an adult having chemically induced amnesia for a significant part of my childhood!
Simply the best I've ever been to.
I have found him be very knowledgeable and understanding and have referred people to him. He is conservative when it comes to pharmaceutical intervention which I feel is a plus. His practice is Psychiatry not Psychology and so if your looking for a doctor to talk to for an hour, you should probably go to a Psychologist as well. Psychiatrists generally manage medications, Psychologists can not prescribe.
