I visited Gerald's last Sunday. I was vacationing from Central Illinois, but my father and his wife are residents of Savannah. They'll be back to Gerald's sooner than I'll be able to, and I am jealous! What a perfect spot for hungry beachgoers. The atmosphere is fantastic, and our server was excellent. We just ate here and the pork sandwich was fatty and did not taste smoked, my wife did not like it. There were a lot of flies, ribs were not done for lunch at noon and the service was average.
The Tybee Cuban sandwich was great.... thanks to Tish for recomending this place.
Best place ive eaten fried shrimp. Fun and friendly
This little fun funky place makes Tybee well Tybee! The food is excellent. We live on island so I think we've tried everything! But if I have to pick a favorite it would be oyster po'boy! Hushpuppies,fresh limeade, and friendly staff included. The price is always right. And if you see extra bottles of Tybee sauce on the counter (made by Gerald of course) pick up a bottle and take home with you! You'll be glad you did.
Absolutely delicious food and very friendly staff in a great laid-back environment! Will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
