Dr. Gerald Berke is an outstanding physician! I am very grateful for his help, and I feel truly fortunate to be his patient. Absolutely ridiculous. I had to reschedule because after 40 minutes of waiting past my appointment time. They informed me there was still two people ahead of me and I’d have to wait another hour and a half. It’s not the first time this happens. They just expect people to camp out the whole day in their reception waiting. They don’t honor appointments times. Zero consideration for patients time and money.

I had a virus and I lost my voice around 2007. My doctor told me that I had “chronic” laryngitis, but it never cleared up! I did some research and thought that I might have spasmodic dysphonia—I was terrified as I am a litigator, and it is imperative that I be able to speak! I booked an appointment with an expert—Dr. Berke. He correctly diagnosed me with a paralyzed vocal cord and injected collagen into my vocal cord. I was able to speak when I left his office, and I’ve been irritating jurors ever since!

So strange to read negative reviews about Dr. Berke. He helped a good friend of mine many years ago, and when I suffered severe vocal injury I went to him. He discovered a nodule on my chord and suggested surgery. I'm a singer and this was scary, but important. I had my surgery and made a full recovery. Since then I played a lead on Broadway singing eight times a week for two years and recently came off a National Tour of HAMILTON playing King George III. With plenty of vocal therapy and excellent vocal training I have been ... read more

I flew to UCLA from Texas to have De-Re surgery with Dr Berke. All my pre surgery information was by telephone with his assistants. The day before surgery, I met Dr Berke and he said he wasn’t even sure I had SD which I’d been treated for for 25 Yrs. I wish he had said “best not to do surgery” , because my voice was better before surgery. He disconnected the nerve to my left vocal cord, but was unable to reconnect a new nerve. All he said was” it was juicy in there. “ I’ve Stopped taking Botox in my right cord, because since... read more
