I am writing to state my displeasure with the Notice of Cancellation received by us regarding our policy. The reason stated for cancellation was said to be a refusal to allow an inspector to access our property resulting in the inability to confirm requirements necessary to maintain coverage. The initial appointment was set up by *****************************. The inspector, ********************* was given the opportunity to enter the property and given the access code upon his arrival. Why would we not allow an inspection? W... read more

Would leave a 0 star if I could. I switched to this insurance company on January 25th and was cancelled immediately for whatever c*** excuse they provided. I know it was c*** because I was able to obtain an insurance policy immediately with a better, cheaper company. Received a check and they took $1,000.00 to cover me for less than a month! When I called their explanation was also crap! Run far away and do not use this company, you will be disappointed!!!!

I put in a claim a year late due to non renewal and got denied for a new roof Plus, I had no idea that I was not getting renewed. I thought once a policy is inactive , you can not use. I did not know til November 11th of last year that my policy was canceled Poor Communication with customers and, they do not help people when there supposed to. I do have hail coverage on my policy, and, they still won't budge. My date of loss was August 21, 2021 for hail Storm, but they said there was no hail storm for my state that day We se... read more

GeoVera acted unethical at best. Our policy with GeoVera started Feb 27, 2022. On April 23, we received a notice of cancellation with a cancellation date of May 24, 2022. The reason for the cancellation was given as: "The Property location no longer meets our underwriting guidelines because the dwelling is in need of maintenance or repair, and/or there is unrepaired and/or unmitigated damages." That was all the information given and their ****************** number will not allow you to talk with anyone. It directs you to you... read more

The only reason I gave one star is because you can't give zero stars. The only reason I had insurance with this company on the house we bought for my daughter to go to college was because the mortgage company insisted on a policy from a local agent. They overcharged the entire time and when about $5000 of damage was done in a break-in they "fine printed" us and refused to pay anything. Thank God the Alabama Insurance Commissioner has just run them out of the state. DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE FROM THESE CHEATS!

We lost everything in a house fire . As bad as that was , the experience was made so much worse by the actions of the insurance company Coastal Select which is owned by GeoVera. We had to hire a law firm and a public adjuster to get our settlement at a cost to us of $100,000. The way we were treated by that company was a disgrace. The rating is zero !

My policy for home owners insurance was $1876.98 from 2019 to 2020. It went up to $2712.05 for this current year. I just got a rental offer for $4330.10. Are you kidding me? I never even filed a claim, ever! My wife and I are seniors, I'm 84. How can they get away with this?

I was assigned this insurance company when I bought my home in 2016. Recently they did a random inspection and they found a couple of minor repairs that needed to be done. One of the areas of concern was my roof. There was a satellite installed by the previous owner that had came off with previous weather conditions and had ripped part of my roof off. My understanding was that I need to fixed the area that was damaged. Please be mindful that my entire roof was replaced in 2017. GeoVera expected me to replace the roof in it's... read more

LISTEN CAREFULLY!!!! If you are looking for insurance, KEEP LOOKNG. Please DON’T waste your time and hard earned money with this sorry company!! You can not get a damn email returned let alone a phone call. Desk adjusters voicemails says to wait 3-4 days for a return call that never comes. Managers don’t answer at all. This company has so many lawsuits and I would be willing to bet they are all because of ****** ****** who is a manager there. He has denied our ALE multiple times even though we have turned in everything they ... read more
