Was told in the office there would be no cost for a vasectomy consultation. I wouldn't have gone through with it if I would have known they would charge well over $300. Unfortunately there isn't anything anyone can do after the fact. Update: No contact made. Be wary, if they tell you there is no cost, they are not telling the truth.
I had a very frustrating experience with Georgia Urology related to billing transparency. I received a payment request with no explanation of what the charge was for. After calling twice and speaking with a supervisor, I was told the charge was for the physician portion of my HoLEP surgery, separate from the hospital billing. That part is understandable. Totally frustrated, Wasted long weekend plans because of the scheduler who does not read notes properly and schedule correctly at proper location. We have been waiting for 1 hour and they said they cannot do the procedure in the location since the scheduler did not schedule correctly, then waited another 30 minute just to talk to front desk as they are not available. No proper response from Front desk. Waiting waiting and waiting, their is no one to respond properly. Not sure what's happening here.
Trying calling Georgia Urology and no matter what office you attempt to call you get sent to their main switchboard. EVERY SINGLE GU OFFICE and there are 50 of them go to the same switchboard! Then it’s 15 minutes before you get an actual human being because they torture you with their horrible AI answering service. They never reply to messages you send in the patient portal. NEVER! Once you finally make an appointment the doctors and staff are great. It’s just agony getting to that point.
While I really liked my physician, the office staff is miserable. I had requested something be done a week ago and of course it wasn’t done and I never heard back from them despite leaving messages. Don’t waste your time. Find another practice that is more customer service oriented.
