We had a great experience with Dr Lu, but after a test result showed up on the patient portal my father had a question about his prescribed medication. There was a 43 minute wait to call and ask so he asked on the portal (3 times over over a 4 day period). Absolutely no reply or response as his situation deteriorated. unacceptable treatment of an elderly (or any) patient!
It is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment with this provider. I honestly don't understand how they keep business. You have to go through an automated phone system that just ends up transferring you to an actual person, then you are forced to stay on hold for 45 minutes until or leave a message for them to call you back later (which in my experience doesn't happen quickly - and God for bid you are busy during the time they call you back and you have to start the whole process over again). From the consultation appointment until surgery date, everything was very smooth. Everyone I encountered was very professional and polite. We had the pleasure of having Dr. Cerwinka perform our sons surgery and everything has been great, tomorrow will be a week. I would recommend. Thank you all and we appreciate you.
Was told in the office there would be no cost for a vasectomy consultation. I wouldn't have gone through with it if I would have known they would charge well over $300. Unfortunately there isn't anything anyone can do after the fact. Update: No contact made. Be wary, if they tell you there is no cost, they are not telling the truth.
I had a very frustrating experience with Georgia Urology related to billing transparency. I received a payment request with no explanation of what the charge was for. After calling twice and speaking with a supervisor, I was told the charge was for the physician portion of my HoLEP surgery, separate from the hospital billing. That part is understandable.
