I have lost power at my house 5 times this month. In the three years that I have had Georgia Power, there have been almost two dozen outages. I have lived in other states prone to snow, hard freezes and hurricanes, but have never lost power as frequently as I do in Athens, GA. Most of the outages occurr when the weather is clear. It is also impossible to call Georgia Power and talk with a real person to get an explanation or understand how they plan to mitigate the outages moving forward. The malfunctioning automated call directory will hang up on you if you request to speak to an actual person. Truly incompetent management from top to bottom. It is criminal that people rely on this company for utility services.
Embarrassingly incompetent service with no other options
Outages during any rainstorm, today my power's out and there's no inclement weather at all... Stays off from anywhere between a few hours to a few days. What am I paying my bills for if this nonsense happens every week? At! His point y'all owe me money for the constant inconvenience
