The process to begin care services is HORRENDOUS. My mother, who is bedridden and severely disabled, was approved for the EDWP program in December 2025. However, because the process involves engaging a case management company AND nursing agency to develop and submit a care plan, I still don't have services for my Mom. The standard reply from these agencies is "the process takes 30-60 days." With all the digital access available, WHY does it take 30-60 days to push paper? No real person ever.
Georgia is absolutely horrible!!! I have been trying for over a year to get my problem resolved and have never been able to speak to an actual person.
