This was an incredibly disappointing experience, especially given what Georgia James once was and the price point it still commands. For context, we ordered from the regular dinner menu, not the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Came here for Houston Restaurant Week and the food was extremely mid. I had the empanadas as my appetizer and the short rib ravioli as my entrée, and both were way too greasy. The waiter was nice and attentive, but overall, the food just wasn’t impressive. I wouldn’t return.

Food was good except my steak was rare opposed to medium so it was sent back. Waiter was not as attentive as he should have been. Ambiance and atmosphere were nice. Bartender and cocktails were great.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday. The staff went out of their way to make him feel special. If you go, make sure you try the bone marrow and mushrooms for appetizers. You will also want to request Eddie as your server. He was phenomenal!
