When I first started here, everything seemed good, then I went to an appointment and was told everything my nutritionist was telling me was wrong and she shouldn’t have given me the information that she gave me, I trusted them and I disregarded what she stood and started doing what the new nutritionist said, but I started to feel bad and all the information. Dr. Fernando is a tremendous physician and person. Excellent care is provided at this practice. Sometimes it is challenging to get a refill by the pharmacy when contacting this office. Always works out, however.
I want to say from the get go that Dr. Kristina Bowen is an excellent oncologist. I also want to say that her nurse Dianne is a very caring personable lady. My biggest concern is the clinical aspect of the waiting room. It’s so hard to be a cancer patient and there is nothing there that is comforting whatsoever. Also, I do not appreciate the front desk nurse rudely making me stand in line when there was no line. This needs to change. My heart hurts for the fellow sufferers that get treated like a number. Drove two hours in traffic, got to my appointment early, checked in, got vitals taken, then waited an hour and fourty-five minutes in an exam room. Doctor never showed up. Walked out and was asked "Who are you?", "What room were you even in?". I had another appointment to make so I told them if this is so important than have the doctor call me. He never did. Complete waste of time. You have me listed as "Reverend" and you show my doctor as the wrong doctor. If Northside Cancer Institute can't even get the simple things right... read more
