This surgery center seemed intent on moving my case through like I was on an assembly line. Lots and lots of very fast paced information . I was sent home with a pain pump that caused difficulty breathing. It numbed my diaphragm and caused difficulty swallowing. I choked on food nearly aspirated the food. I subsequently lost my voice for awhile because of the irritation. They also sent me home with the most complicated sling I have ever seen. Needed two hands to manipulate it when trying to bathe. I had surgery at Georgetown Surgery Center yesterday, and from the moment we walked through the door, the entire experience was exceptional. The facility is beautiful—very clean, thoughtfully laid out, and nicely decorated. It felt more like a luxury surgery center than a typical sterile hospital setting, which immediately helped put me at ease. I was fortunate to have four amazing nurses caring for me. Had foot surgery in this facility 2 weeks ago and my experience was absolutely amazing. From the check in to the nurses and staff working with me I felt seen, I felt I was in good hands. The whole experience was beyond what I expected, the nurses were so kind and supportive. The whole place is clean and everyone was so friendly. I loved my experience at Georgetown surgery center. I’ve had surgery twice at Georgetown Surgery Center and both times I had excellent service! All of the nurses, doctors, and staff are so caring and professional. They explain everything they are doing which helps with any anxiety. And the facility is kept very clean!
