I never knew this restaurant was there, but we stopped on the way out of town after a big football victory. We expected a long wait to be seated but we were seated immediately. Our drinks were exceptional...Wives ordered "umbrella" drinks and highly praised them. Buddy said his gin and tonic was great. My drink was good, but it's hard to mess up a bourbon on the rocks. After being disappointed so often in Athens, I was not expecting this...it was delicious! The grit cake app was SO good, eggplant pirogue was exceptional and unique. Redfish was moist and perfectly cooked. It's N'awlins cr�ole cooking so it leans salty and the collards were a miss to me, but I'm particular about my collards.
