Perhaps the best combination of bar and restaurant in the Highlands, this is a reliable spot to begin or end an evening out. A mostly local clientele, including families with small kids, crowds the tables and booths at all hours. Good bar food and a few more substantial American dinners are offered. The bar and a few tables are located downstairs in the deep, narrow storefront, but for more private dining, head for the back loft. The sidewalk patio is shared with neighbors and is a good spot for people-watching.

You can't go wrong at such a righteous place. George's is simply awesome!
Been coming here forever (since the mid 80's). I love this place and the family that runs. My kids, all 5 of them love this place. Best burgers. All the food is great.
Great burgers and cold beer. A fun place to hangout - especially on the patio in the warmer months. If you're hanging out in the Va/Hi village, be sure to stop by here.
Good, cheap, quick and amazing!!!! A favorite for many years and will keep returning. Many memories with old friends at George's.
