I had experienced stomach issues for most of my life, but not one specialist, including my primary, knew what was wrong with me. Before I left for college, I knew I had to get to the bottom of it. Dr. Hashmi reviewed all my previous tests and labs, and knew almost immediately that I had Crohn's Disease; the colonoscopy proved it. I felt crazy for years- everyone made me feel like nothing was wrong with me- but Dr. Hashmi believed me right now and validated my feelings. I don't know where I'd be if it hadn't been for her and ... read more

Dr. Hashmi is a compassionate and talented physician. She is excellent at building trust and connection with children and adolescents. My child eventually needed an endoscopy, and Dr. Hashmi was supportive and reassuring to both of us through that process. She helped my child regain his health through her cautious and measured approach to his treatment, and I cannot thank her enough!

He dismissed all of my concerns, told me there is nothing wrong despite my symptoms. Advised me to stop taking my medication for depression because he believes that it’s “toxic”. Told me that my symptoms are caused by being fat and having a “bad diet”. Refused to do any bloodwork. laughed at my for coming into the OBGYN and asked “well why are you here then? This is the OBGYN office”. Talked to me as if I was a child and cut me off every time I tired to speak or explain. I left the office in tears.

Dr. Ahmed is very professional, gentle and kind. Since we are both somewhat reserved (or maybe that is just me) it took me a while to really warm up to and feel comfortable. But that is also because I came to him after my decades long doctor (who got me through many challenging years with dermatomyositis) had to retire. Dr. Ahmed listens & then helps me with any rheumatological problems I have. He makes sure to explain things in a way that I can understand. The office staff are all also professional and welcoming.

Doctor Ahmed took his time and he was able to identify my health issues and once it was identified he was able to make recommendations and give me the proper medication that I needed. My diagnose has improved significantly and it’s in remission.
