I love my hair! Very friendly staff, clean and quaint salon. Both my daughter and I get our hair cut there, and she has had some lovely up-dos for prom/homecomings. I also use their waxing services. We have both been going there for years and have never had a bad experience.
Liz is the best colorist of all time! Lots of great magazines, hit tea and coffee and snacks. We drive from Randallstown every month - red heads, blondes and kinky hair don't fear. These guys know.
I love this place! My granddaughter comes from West Virginia to have her hair done here. I have never had a bad experience at George of New York. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
highly recommended! – I've been familiar with George of New York for over 8 years and highly recommend it. The salon itself is in a good location, easy to find. It's cozy and relaxed, and the prices are pretty typical for the Columbia/Ellicott City area. For the past year Jill has been doing my hair and it has never looked better or healthier. I've trusted her with the task of bringing my once long, damaged, and dead hair back to life and she has exceeded my expectations; I really couldn't be happier.
NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!!!! – I have been to Georges three times now. All of my experiences were HORRIBLE. The first visit was over a year ago. I went in for a single process color to get rid of my highlights. The stylist dyed my hair so dark it turned out black. I'm naturally light brown. It was awful and I looked goth. I could have dyed my hair better with a store bought box of dye. Under the influence of a friend I returned recently for a visit being assured by her I just got unlucky and had a bad stylist.
