Since arriving in Boston six years ago, I have been in Dr. Papaliodis's care for for my chronic uveitis. Prior to that, I had an excellent provider in the Philadelphia area. The continuity of care has been outstanding, with Dr. Papaliodis assimilating my history of uveitis with precision and care. Each encounter is thorough and unhurried, and we review my therapeutic choices in depth. He also keeps me up to date on recent research. This visit, Dr. Papaliodis discussed his own experience with COVID-19, which enhanced my sense... read more

I suffered from a difficult case of scleritis, diagnosed as uveitis. Mass Eye and Ear referred me to Dr. Papaliodis. After his diligent care, the problem was eradicated. I am under watchful care and I can not recommend him with less than the highest ratings. The man is a genius at his specialty. He is shy and retiring but extremely professional. I think he saved my vision...I have only one eye since birth.

Business response:

Hi Thomas Cosgrove, thank you so much for your positive comments about Dr. Papaliodis!

Came up from Naples to Mass Eye and Ear for best Eyecare. Been to several Drs about sudden vision loss in right eye. Thought Dr Papaliodis could finally diagnose sudden onset April 9 th of floaters, blinding light sensitivity, and blurry vision. No diagnosis. I was devastated. I have suffered 5 months daily with no answers or relief. Where are these tremendous advances in eye problems? I don't understand. I had crisp clear vision a year ago now I can hardly see.

Business response:

Dear Ms. Benham our goal is to provide excellent service to our patients and we apologize if that was not your experience at Mass. Eye and Ear. We would like to continue this conversation offline to make sure your concerns are fully addressed. Would you please contact Patient Relations at 617 573 3008 or Susan_Corbett@meei.harvard.edu Thank you.

Dr. Papaliodis is highly knowledgeable about the complicated field of ophthalmic immunology. I also found him to be a very pleasant and caring man, and he explained all aspects of my condition and care. Wait times at the Uveitis Clinic can be long, and the waiting area is a hallway and not terribly comfortable.
