DON'T BUY A CAR HERE. I bought my Genesis GV80 in Sep 2023. It currently has just over 30K miles. No complaints with the car, but the dealership is beyond terrible. Almost every service experience I've had there has been negative. The latest is this: When I bought the car they told me I had complimentary service for 3 years or 36K miles. Do not ever trade a car into Brooklyn Genesis without taking pictures of the car. that is being traded. I traded in a lease 2023 Hyundai Tucson for a 2026 g70 which was in immaculate condition. I traded in the car in August 2025, and the car did not get to the leasing company until December 2025 and was damaged. I keep my cars in excellent condition, and they damaged it at the Brooklyn Genesis dealership. I now have a $1700 bill. Will never do business with them again.
The service department is a joke; the service manager has no customer service skills. You would think after spending the kind of money you spend on a genesis; they would treat their customers better than the way I was treated.MY vehicle went there for a problem and after a few days he basically told me to take my vehicle somewhere else because his service department could no figure it out the problem and they said there was nothing wrong. Had a very positive experience today at Genesis Bedford with customer service rep Kaleb!! Had a couple of technical questions with my GV70. Kaleb not only answered my concerns but also offered another opportunity that I was not aware of. Sure nice to deal with a young person that not only knows his product but has enthusiasm for his job.
Had a bad Experience with Genesis of Wayne went to Purchace a vehicle was told i had the vehicle then got a call saying they wouldnt take my trade in ask for my money to be refunded to my card i was told by Salah Abdallatif it would be refunded with in 3 Business days here it is 6 days later and still havent received my refund I will never Deal with a Genesis Dealer again. they dont Honor what they tell you and dont speak Truth. Purchased a 2026 Genesis GV70 About 3 weeks ago. It broke down after five hundred miles. What's funny is the car actually told Genesis, it wasn't running? Now it's in the shop . They acknowledge that it had a problem. But it doesn't have a problem now!! I was promised a loner and Valet Service,none of which I've received. I tried to reach them by phone three times with no success. I'm sure this is just the beginning and the saga will continue.
I could get into the specifics and details, I'll just give you the short. After several appts. with my G80 uncompleted they set another appt. Genesis sent me a survey. I honestly and nicely filled it out. Their service mgr called me and said the general mgr read it and is now cancelling my next appt and told me they will no longer service my G80.They said take it to another Genesis dealer.
