I had the most amazing stay. Absolutely perfect in every way. The staff went above and beyond with their elite hospitality. The room was very reasonable and no hidden “history” fees like the Stater Hotel, where I stayed one night and it paled in comparison. I will definitely be back, my new favorite hotel.
This hotel and staff were more than accommodating. The General Palmer Hotel is beautiful. If you are staying at the General Palmer Hotel and are going on the Durango & Silverton Train the hotel is right beside it. No need to pay to park at the Train Parking you can just leave your vehicle at the hotel and walk over. This hotel is located in the heart of it all. Enjoy the tea and coffee bar at all times of day and night. Lots of places to read or right letters in the lobby.
Are go to hotel for snowdown and anytime we're in Durango the rooms are very nice and Rumi and the complimentary breakfast is very good. But the staff in the service was the best
We have stayed at many historic places and The General Palmer was on the list of my top favorites. The hotel is very clean and well cared for. Our room was very clean and very comfortable to be in. We had a view of the city and my boys loved watching the train leave the station. It’s walking distance from the train station, which is perfect if you are doing any train rides.
