Great hotel! We could walk to the train. Great restaurants within walking distance.
We had the best experience at The General Palmer Hotel. The hotel is in a great location, has a beautiful view and awesome staff. Chandler is the best. Very knowledgeable, excellent customer service and great attitude. Luke was also very nice and always willing to help. Nice breakfast in the morning, cookies in the pm and coffee, hot tea, cocoa and water all day. Our room was very nice and comfortable. We were in the outer building with no elevator. WONDERFUL experience! The hotel is amazing and we felt like we were treated like family by the staff. Every need was met, including suggestions for meals, helping with reservations, and even arranging transportation. Add a beautiful upstairs terrace, fun historic elevator, sitting areas to people watch or borrow a book to read, comfortable beds, PLUS hot tea/coffee and fresh cookies in the lobby? I'm not sure what more we could ask for! They even took a selfie with us!
Loved this hotel but the walls are thin and there is alot of noise. Doors constantly closing and people talking outside or room who are sitting on the balcony. I loved the hotel itself but it was very noisy.
