We spent thousands of dollars installing two GeneralAire dehumidifying units from General Filters. Both failed within two years, despite a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Yet, getting a replacement has been nearly impossible. After countless ignored calls and emails to Matthew W., we finally received a vague email with a shipping address—no prepaid label, no return instructions. I have tried for four months to request warranty support with zero success. I have spoken to a gentleman name Matthew (ext 208) FOUR separate. Each time he assured me that it’s covered under the warranty and he was shipping the necessary parts. Each time he assured me that an email with the tracking number would be forthcoming. Each time I never received the tracking number nor the necessary parts. This has been exasperating. Terrible customer service. Won’t return calls or emails when messages are left. Don’t buy a mega dry dehumidifier or you will be hung out to dry.
