My fiance and I were late paying rent due to car troubles, and even though we paid off our rent, the late fee, filing fee, service fee, AND attorney fee all at once, we still got an invoice for ANOTHER $525 dollars to cover all of it again? I got in writing from my landlady that we did, in fact, pay in full THE DAY AFTER they filed for eviction, so where did our money go???
