Although the individual caregiver assigned to my Mom was exceptional, in my experience Gateway Hospice is by and large a Medicare-grab. If your relative has the gall to outlive expectations, they get dropped from the program with very little notice and limited opportunity to plead otherwise. Excellent quality of service and overall great Home Health company!
STAY AWAY!!! If you or a loved one needs home health, keep looking--this is the WORST EVER! Between my late mother, my dad and my step-dad, we have had several home health agencies over a 12 year span of time. We understand the way the process works, we understand what to expect, what Medicare pays for, etc. Gateway makes it's own rules, and they don't tell you until you are committed to them.
