Gateway totally saved my biocube from green hair algea overtake. You could not see in the tank, the sides were covered in algea as were the rocks. I have a 14 year old clownfish and was terrified. I went there and the staff was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I got their water and filter suggestion and did a water change. 3 weeks later I was able to replace my community, and my clown went right into the new anemone. The attached picture says it all. Thank you!

Ive gone to the majority of the saltwater stores in the st. Louis area, I live on the other side of the river and its well worth the extra 20 minute drive for me. Friendly staff, good prices and great selection of merchandise/livestock!
Chad the owner is very nice. All employees are extremely helpful. I will continue going to this store for a very long time. Or until Chad kicks me out. Fair prices everything you need come down!! Beautiful store.
I am thinking about trying my hand with a 45 tall. Staff is very knowledgeable and suggested the best way to start. I’m going to go ahead and give it a try. Will be taking one small step at a time. Looking forward to getting everything put in place and enjoying my little piece of the sea. 🤗

For such of a small shop, this place has a lot! the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and their prices were comparable to other places. they even had an axolotl which I hope is still there when I get my tank up and going for it
Recently I wanted to have a piece of statuary I had, made into a water feature at my home. I went to a competitor of Gateway Aquatics and had a negative experience. I did some research and discovered Gateway. Man, I'm glad I did. I meet with one of the owners Chad Smith. I briefly explained to him what I was desiring.
