Great price and awesome location I have lived in Serrano for the last two years. It is in a fabulous location if you are looking to be near the center of the Irvine/ Tustin Ranch border and near the high school ( Beckman High). The property management team is extremely responsive and the community is kept in excellent shape!

Avoid this complex at all costs. They were “luxury” apartments five years ago, now it’s a complete dump with ridiculously incompetent management. Just over the last year I’ve: 1. Had my car stolen from the parking garage. When I called management about it they weren’t even apologetic and basically said “why are you calling us, file a police report”. The New Building #7, Stay away!! I have been living in Santa Clara Square Apartment Building #7, the new building, for almost a month now. Noise, noise, noise Been living here over 2+ years and it's been like living in the middle of a permanent construction site. Dudes with loud chainsaws, blowers, movers are there every weekday morning and that's just a background theme to all kinds of noisy repairs, fire drills, and whatnots - the management never fails to figure out some activity out for every single week. Also, you gotta like those regular "we need to access your apartments from 9 to 6" letters. Location is great though.
Looks Great - But After a Year Living Here.... The Good: - The sales experience was mostly good, but be forewarned that Irvine Company changes their rental rates daily. Also, if you request a move-in date other than the "first available," the monthly rent amount will be higher - The grounds are well maintained, especially the common areas. Poor noise insulation between floors Don’t consider to lease the 1st or 2nd floor units here because you may end up just like us to suffer from all kinds of noises all day long from upstairs. Not sure if it’s due to the personal problems of the upstairs neighbor, or just the very poor insulation between floors, the annoying everyday noises just drive us crazy and would like to move out of here as soon as possible!
Get Screwed Over on Move out Pros - it looks great on Instagram. Cons - can hear people above and to the side of you and a highly bureaucratic organization. The real thing that will never make me come back is I lived here for 7 months and upon moving out got hit with an $900 move out charge. I had a decent experience while I lived there, but will not be coming back.
Meh The office is unstable. Sometimes they are great and sometimes they are useless. There is construction going on right now and has been going on for the past year. It is so loud and uncomfortable to live here.
Best of the best My family and I have been with the Irvine Company for 24 years and have lived at several different properties. Villa Coronado has a premier Leasing staff and 1st class Maintenance personnel. Omar has been a real blessing in regard to how he goes beyond expectations at every opportunity followed closely by Christian and the rest of the maintenance crew. "Best of the best", should be a critical factor in deciding where you want to invest you time and how you expect to be treated.
