After receiving a postcard reminder to make an appointment for a colonoscopy, my wife arranged to have the routine preventative procedure (100% covered by insurance) for which we were then billed approximately $1,000. Even after calls to the provider and insurance we still had to pay because of improper coding as diagnostic rather than preventative. They failed to mention this in the pre-procedural meeting even after being asked. Enter at your own risk.
Poor service and 0 patient relation skills
I cannot even start with how bad my experience was with this office as a whole. When you are seeing a specialist with DIGESTIVE PROBLEMS....you would think there would be a sense of immediacy to help you solve your issue. Firstly, it took a month to even get into see the doctor! There is absolutely NO follow through with test results. After an emergency room visit, I called to follow up with the doctor, and was told that "He was on vacation". It was difficult to find the place. I believed my initial consultation would be with a doctor, but I just answered questions posed by a completely new assistant who couldn't answer all my questions. I was told there'd be no opportunity to consult with the doctor before the colonoscopy, and it would not be performed in a hospital setting. I decided to go elsewhere as I was uncomfortable with the experience.
