Yesterday January 18th, 2023 at 4:05 ish pm at Pih Hospital Dr. Ojha relayed some critical life changing news to my dad . He told him he had stomach cancer, but he showed ZERO COMPASSION. Since the moment he walked in the first sentence out of his mouth was (in an irritated tone) “well I have to go “ . I had an appointment at 3pm, arrived few minutes before and filled out paperwork in less than 5min. Front desk nurse took co-payment right away. After arriving 7 ppl also got here after me. Everyone else that had arrived after me went in 3:30, 3:45, 4pm 4:15 passed and I finally went and asked the front desk if they were going to call me in and explain that I had an appointment at 3pm and had been waiting in the lobby. I am an active duty Air Force captain who has been medically referred to Dr. Ojha’s care. It was an utter nightmare getting an appointment less than a month and a half out. After I was finally seen (for 10 mins) I was written a prescription, scheduled another far out appointment and sent on my way. Every time the appointment date was approaching I would receive a call from the office apologizing and requesting to push my appointment back a couple more weeks. This happened 4 times. Dr. Was to the point and all business. That’s fine with me. I feel sorry for some people here that found the Dr. rude. I don’t think the Dr tries to be rude. Maybe some compassion training for people that have to hear devistating news?
