Great Mechanic with Personality Since moving to Laporte Colorado from Nebraska 4 months ago my van had not needed any maintenance... until the alternator died. I was in Denver visiting my kids and had no idea what to do or where to go. Someone suggested Gary's Auto Service and I'm so glad they did. Dan gave me a number to get the van towed to his shop and gave me a ride after it was done to pick it up. Good mechanic I've been dealing with car problems for months and I would have to say this is one of the better auto service mechanics that I've brought my car too. They aren't the cheapest but they perform thorough and quality work which I understand now is key to ensuring your car's longevity.
Trustworthy and quick! I'd been complaining about the condition of my car for a while, so my husband found this business through the Car Guys website. I have problems with car mechanics and usually take a male with me to speak to any of them because they always seem to want to take advantage of my gender. Honest and thorough! My car broke down and was towed to the auto body shop next door due to a mistake by my insurance company's roadside assistance. Luckily for me, there was a mechanic right there also! Dan explained everything that was wrong, the work turned out to cost less than the estimate he gave me, and he quoted me for some other work I needed to have done. Honest reliable trustworthy! Gary's is Honest, reliable, fair, & trustworthy. We came to Denver for a Rockies game, and the hotel was going to charge us $35/day ($70 total) to park our Ford F150. We needed an oil change, so instead of paying to park, we took the truck to Gary's. We stayed 2 nights, and they let us keep the truck overnight both nights. They only charged $48. Basically we got the oil change we needed and FREE parking. They did a great job, and we will come back.
Great Place This shop is awesome. I have used Gary's 3 or 4 times now and Dan and his crew have done great work. My car is at that stage where it needs TLC and they have delivered. Dan has picked me up and been very pleasant to work with. His prices have been very reasonable. Try him once and you'll go back..
TOTAL SATISFACTION I needed rear struts badly, and after checking several auto repair locations on the internet, I found Gary's - my lucky day. They came and picked up my vehicle on a "snow day", made repairs the same day, picked me up and took me back to the shop to get my car. The cost was reasonable, the service was prompt, the employees friendly - even the decor of the office is pretty neat with local artists' works displayed. Very poor customer service I had a horrible experience with the current owner of this place. He has a very short temper and is very disrespectful. I had been referred to him and when I got my car back it was not working properly. When I called to talk to the owner he was extremely defensive, rude, and unprofessional. The friend that referred me assured me that the old owner, Gary, would have never treated a customer as poor as the current owner, Dan, does. Neither of us will be returning to this store.
