Worst surgeon I have ever had. He gave me a DVT blood clot, mainly because his ego was too big and he thought he fix it and was wrong. He also did not order appropriate post care following my fusion. I did not receive any brace or neck support when being transferred from the recovery bed to the room bed on surgeons order. Then I called everyday for a week because I was sick and ended up with a blood clot and he did not care. He should be revoked of his license.
Worst, worst Dr ever!!!! No compassion or concern for patients. My granddaughter was in a car accident and hurt her back badly .she went to him for care he acted like he could care less about her injuries. A couple months later she fell down whole flight of steps , which was due to her back injuries because her legs were not working properly. I recently switched to AHN after UPMC kept cancelling on me. Dr. Schmidt is a very good doctor. He listens to my concerns, comes up with the best treatment possible. He put in a request for an MRI on my lumbar and I got approved! I like him better than my previous orthopedic doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Schmidt.
Had some problems with my first surgeon. So found dr Schmidt and he has been excellent. Explaining everything to me through out the process and even ordered me a new mri when no one else believed there was more problems. Couldn't give any higher praise.
Couldn't be happier with my experiences with Dr. Schmidt. I was a motorcycle accident victim with two broke vertebrae and numerous other severe/life threatening injuries. Six months after my accident, I was able to return to work as a welder/fitter. His work and care was the beginning of that accomplishment. Thank you, sir.
