My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Berger’s for over 30 years. He is an amazing clinician and a very kind and caring doctor. We both highly, highly recommend him!!!
I have been a patient of Dr. Berger for 25 years. He is direct and doesn't order up all sorts of unnecessary tests or visits to other doctors. Getting appointments is easy and the office staff are friendly. I have also seen Dr. Luo for a visit, and she is fantastic.
The office, festooned with golf tchotchkes, says it all -- The doctor (Berger) would rather be on the links. He is extremely difficult to reach -- the phone tree is endless, and, at best gives the option only to get called back at someon's (never yours) convenience. The office protocol seems perfectly designed to prevent access, and the office staff is uniformly unhelpful.
When sceduled for eye surgery, I contacted Dr. Berger's office to ask for the required physical. Because I was, in their words, overdue for the annual physical which I should have scheduled, they refused to give me an appointment before the date I was to have surgery. They told me to reschedule the surgery. I asked to come in to pick up my records or to have them faxed to another doctor and was told that the office would take the entire month they were entitled to before they would make a cop
