Mussels in Red Thai sauce are fantastic. Food and atmosphere really great. Irish standards are particularly good.
I always order the wee bit of fish and chips. Best fish and chips around and the wee bit is a generous portion of fish. The shepherds pie is another favorite of ours. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service. I highly recommend the place.

Walking into The Garryowen is like walking into the home of a friend- you’re welcomed immediately and made to feel comfortable with laughter and cheer. Even with CoVid precautions in place, I felt like I was at home during my visit today. The Ulster Fry was delicious as always, and the Cider aged in Bourbon barrels is the best drink ever. I’m so happy my first restaurant experience after quarantine was at The Garryowen. Thank you and see you again!
I just want to thank The Garryowen for being so thoughtful in their reopening plan. We had a delicious and relaxing lunch on your new patio. Collecting info for point of contact communication, QRC menu access and masked servers made us feel safe and cared for and about. This is why you’re one of our favorite spots!
