The food there is exquisite the experience is sensation I appreciate that you are there and my community I tell all my friends they have to try your Eatery thank you for being there.
Terrible service. They were out of half the menu. Served us a PIPING HOT salad drenched in dressing and refused to make us a new one or take it off the bill. Made us pay for the disgusting salad even though it was INEDIBLE! And to top it all off the manager refused to come out and speak to us. I felt bad for the server because she was clearly young and inexperienced. I heard that the owner keeps a good portion of the servers’ tips as well. Spend your money elsewhere. This place won’t be in business long.
Business response:
We honestly think that this is a false review. It is our policy to talk to customers as soon as possible if they bring up a concern to the server. If you are displeased with your dish we will immediately make it again for you, no extra charge, but we do not offer free all-you-can-eat buffet. “I heard that the owner keeps a good portion of the servers’ tips as well.” We don’t even know how to respond to this, it is just outrageous!
Was very disappointed that the shredded beef was not available, which is an ingredient in a lot of the menu options.
Awesome!
Wonderful flavors with filling portions. Very happy with the discovery!
Ok....it would have been nice to be told 18% gratuity is automatically added for a party of 5 up front as oppose to when we got the bill. My salad wasn’t the greatest but I didn’t want to return it because folks do thing to people’s food. Nope!! My son’s pasta and shrimp was AMAZING!!! Jesus I should have ordered that lol. Some restaurants you can count how many shrimps on your plate. His plate had tons of shrimp...huge shrimps!!! Totally worth the price. The waitress gave my son the wrong beverage instead of them taking it ... read more
Fabulous! I had The Mermaid, will definitely be back.
Is not even close to be a good latin restaurant, I got the arepa Queen (Reina Pepiada) and can’t be more disappointed, just a cold scooped salad that wasn’t was fresh at all and is not at all the proper preparation of one of these arepas. We asked for three things in the menu and they were running out of all of them, is a place overpriced and overrated! Very disappointed they just have a good social media, that’s all! And that weird fusion in the menu between Spanish and Venezuelan food is the worst!
We were really looking forward to trying the arepas here but from the get go we were disappointed. Out of the first five things we tried ordering, they only had 1 available. Everyone five starring this place must have never had an arepa from any where else. Never should an arepa burger be nearly 20 dollars. The chorizo on the bombstack or whatever it’s called tasted like elementary school lunch sausage. The Cold avocado chicken salad slop they are serving is not traditional Reina pepiada. This place literally has the food st... read more
Business response:
If we are going to talk about "Reina Pepiada" we need to know first if we are talking about the "Maracucha", the "Oriental", or the "Caraquena" recipe. All of our Arepas are freshly made and awesome, and we have a good variety of them, with prices ranging from $7 to $22. The only Arepa in our menu that is over $20 is called Calypso, and it is a huge Arepa Burger with 1/3-lb Angus Beef Burger, 1/4-lb sautéed jumbo shrimp, 1/2-inch thick Fried Latin Cheese slab, bacon, and 1/2 fresh sliced avocado.
