I had a neck fusion a few ago and re-injured myself nine months ago. First I went to another spine doctor and was very unimpressed, later I was recommended Dr. Hyman by a neck PT provider I was seeing. He really did a much more in-depth review of my case and was very supportive. He ordered more MRI scans, my insurance company did not approve one of the scans but Dr. Hyman went to the trouble of following up with them and got it approved. Fixed my knee. I spent six months in "rest, ice, compression, elevation" purgatory courtesy of my primary care physician before I got fed up and saw Dr. Hyman via personal referral. Dr. Hyman moved heaven and earth to get me the MRI necessary to diagnose cartilage damage deep in my knee, provided realistic assessments, and treated the damage with a minimally invasive in-office procedure. I saw Dr. Hyman for a second opinion for my shoulder - an MRI showed a rotator cuff tear. I was considering a PRP treatment (which they offer), but an ultrasound scan provided some additional information and we decided that PT would be a better option to consider first. Our family has gone to Dr. Hyman for years. He is awesome! I recently threw out my back a month before an overseas trip and was afraid I would have to cancel. But between steroids and a specific PT script I was well enough to go and I had the time of my life. :-) He is a knowledgeable and caring doctor. And his support staff is top notch! Totally recommend.
Dr. Hyman helped me finally get relief from my chronic neck and upper back pain. I really liked his willingness to get imaging done to find the exact issues rather than just blindly trying to fix it as people have done in the past. He listened to what I had to say and incorporated everything I mentioned into my history. Highly recommend :)
