From the beginning of the design through the completion of the project, Alex was extremely professional through the entire process. Alex is one of the most respectful and helpful people I have met. Not only was his work exquisite but he went above and beyond in many ways, with his skills and ideas. Alex did a great job on our custom cabinets and shelves in our basement. His quote was less than other cabinet builders that we interviewed and I think that was because he didn't try and talk us into buying things we didn't need. We had a budget and he respected that. Even though it was a large amount of shelves and cabinets he was able to install everything in one day.
I would recommend Alex and his work. He custom built bookshelves and cabinets for our bonus room. He was able to custom order a library ladder for the whole thing, something that my husband had been wanting ever since we had remodeled the room. He worked with us to choose the right color of paint as well as the configuration of shelves to drawers. We are very happy to be living with the finished project.

Alex has performed two major jobs for us; built-in cherry book shelves and a cherry fireplace surround with mantle. Alex helped us with the design of both projects and was able to easily manage the the detailing that we requested. All of the fabrication was done off site and the installation went quickly and flawlessly. When the installation occurred, Alex demonstrated care for the interior of our home. I can recommend Alex without reservation for interior, custom-design woodworking projects.
My interior design firm has worked with Alex and Garofalo Woodworks for over 15 years and every project that he has done has been beautifully executed. He has done kitchens, bathrooms, closets, furniture for both residential and commercial projects and just about anything else a wood craftsman could do. Over the last 8 to 9 years we have worked with Alex Garofalo Woodworks several times. The projects range in size from custom fabrication of the headboard for a guest bedroom to custom cabinetry installations. We have found their craftsmanship to be wonderful & would recommend them to others.
Garofalo WoodWorks helped design then built and installed our bathroom cabinetry. We were extremely pleased with the end result. The cabinetry is well-built and attention to detail is impressive.
