Christi has been our vet since we started with horses about 6 years ago. You can see her love for them and patience. A few years ago my horse had a horrific accident and there was no saving him. Christi came to put him at rest and she was incredibly conforting. I was a fairly new horse owner and was incredibly greatful for the braid from my horse tail that she did for me.
Christi has been taking care of my horses for over 10 years. She is an awesome vet, and a very compassionate person, I trust her with any decision she makes when it comes to the well being of my horses. I really love that she takes the time to explain to me what is going on if one of my horses is sick, or hurt, and what she recommends why. I can't recommend Dr. Garfinkel enough, I definitely have learned a lot from her, and my boys are very lucky to have her as their Vet.
I LOVE Dr. Garfinkel! She has been caring for my Jack since I purchased him, which now is coming on 5 years. He is my first horse of my very own, and Dr.Garfinkel always makes sure to explain everything that is happening so that she knows I am comfortable. She honestly really cares about the animals and their owners. She is available, kind, and so so smart. Gary has always been awesome, too! Helpful and endlessly understanding. Thank goodness I found Christi and Gary. THANK YOU!! Jack and I love you so!
Christi is the best hands down. She gives our horses the same care and attention whether the problem is minor or recovering from major surgery. She always has the animals well being and comfort as her 1st priority.
Christi has cared for my horses for over 15 years and we have dealt with various issues from allergies to lameness and injuries. She has provided outstanding care and guidance through each and every challenge and for every horse she worked with. They have thrived and flourished. Dr. Garfinkel is an exceptional vet with great knowledge and compassion. She excels in both preventative and acute care.
If you came here looking for an amazing large animal vet, you've found her! Of course if you are a client, you already know that. Dr Christi and her husband, Gary, will feel like family from the first moment you meet them. We have used a few large animal veterinarians in San Diego County and while they were all good with our animals, Dr Christi has stood out for her incredible people skills as well.
