The barbecue was really good and the tea was on point the fries were good too
We Did not like the barbecue at all. The sauce wasn't anything more a glorified hot sauce. No barbecue taste in the sandwich or sauce. Will not visit Gardners again. Sorry!

great Stopped here on my way back from VA during August 2008. They have great barbeque and chicken on the buffet. This will be one of my stops on future trips through Rocky Mount!
Great Barbeque Gardner's Barbecue has the down home country taste of a good old fashioned picnic. Great food, especially the fried chicken and the barbecue. This is not a fancy place to eat but you will not go away from the table hungry and the family style meals are reasonably priced.
GROSS This food is not of high quality. It is no different than a K&W as far as taste. Everything taste the same. If you ever go through the drive through, you can see how nasty their kitchen is. If you want good bar-b-q, go to Parkers in Wilson!!
