The tenants at this complex. and others that are managed by Cambridge Real Estate Services NOW FORCE YOU TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LATE PAYMENTS FROM SOCIAL SECURITY. I have been FORCED to pay a late fee, and was told that it's my problem and still responsible for the rent. I am DISABLED, 65 years old and ON SOCIAL SECURITY. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. When I moved into Gardenbrook Apartments, I had just moved from Milepost 5 which was a lot worse, but the same problems. I am a senior on social security and they raised the rent so much over two years I could no longer afford to live there. Which was a blessing as they have severe mold, a lot of addicts and mentally ill people residing there who have subsdized housing. But when they came for the inspection before I leave they said to me thank you. An obnoxious clubhouse party disturbed the surrounding area for over 3 hours on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Constant loud music and yelling could be heard 100 yards away until after 8 PM. The complex usually doesn't cause problems except for aftermarket exhaust noise. Management, please constrain your tenants or limit their visitors if this could become a regular thing.
This place (Gardenbrook apartments and Cambridge Real Estate Services) took my entire $1200 deposit and sent me a $2200 bill when I moved out because I ended my lease 3 months early. Part of that is months of utilities, which I paid through Cambridge’s online portal, so I no longer have any access to those records. When I moved in everything was dirty, inside and out.
