Thanks go to Colin and crew at Garden City Tree and Landscape for their work on a residential side garden destroyed by fire. Information and advice re restoration and plant choice was clearly given, they were collaborative with garden design and layout, and installation work was done efficiently. Avoid them at any cost as you will get into trouble if anything goes wrong. The landscaping they did for costed us double, as they are experts in make-work. Finally what they left us with was a patchy field; and we could do a better job ourselves. For single follow up on the wring things they did, the manager was threatening us with putting a lien on our property!
An arborist (not from Garden City) recommended that I tear out my front lawn at the drip line of my huge oak tree and put down their fresh wood chip mulch--without mentioning that they didn't HAVE any wood chip mulch, fresh or otherwise, might not have any for the forseeable future, and would just as soon string me along with my now-bare-dirt front yard while I didn't pester them for it.
