Had dinner off the menu. Excellent! I ordered things spicy and it actually was. My dinner partner actually had trouble eating it. The Vindaloo and the Bhindi were fabulous!
The buffet was good for lunch. Not as spicy as I like it but it's a buffet. Only ate there once. Perhaps a menu ordered meals would be better. But it was certainly a pleasant meal.
went there for lunch buffet. all the food taste good and meat is not dry or over cooked. naan is perfect!
I found this place by pure coincidence a bit over a month ago after a long day at Disneyland, it is located inside the Ramada Plaza Hotel, east of the corner of Harbor and Katella right behind the pizza parlor. I don't consider myself an Indian food expert but have been to plenty of other good Indian restaurants and this is one of the only ones I've returned to. I do not agree with some of the negative comments here. Perhaps they have gotten their act together or something else but I've been coming here (for Dinner) every we... read more
Ate here 3 days in a row - yep its that good. DOOOO EEEEEEET!! This is one place I actually prefer the menu to the buffet selections. No reason in particular, it just turned out that way. Good service.
nice place & good food with some risk to ur pocket.
Lousy service + 18% mandatory tip – This restaraunt owner runs a very neat scam. At the bottom of the menu is a small notation that everyone will be charged a 18% service charge. This sign is so small that we missed it the first time we were there. Unless the service is exceptional I don't tip beyond 15%. The owner (bald bad-tempered guy) is a very slick scamster. The credit card bill he gave us was printed with the row for tip empty (he adds up the 18% tip into the total along with the food and the tax), so we tipped him an... read more
Good breakfast buffet; the bartender needs some experience. – I had two occasions to visit the Gandhi Palace for breakfast. On both occasions, the buffet was fine: eggs, sausage/bacon, cereals, fruit, juices, coffee/tea, etc. It was nothing spectacular, but was exactly what a breakfast buffet should be. Unfortunately, like another reviewer, I have to agree that the service was not great. I stood for a while waiting to be seated. The staff seemed somewhat aloof from customers, and I also had to wait a while to pay my bill at ... read more
Terrible....(read the review to find out why) – Another good example of poor Indian service. Trust me, this is not "fine dining". The bald guy (owner?) has male PMS or something. He looks ticked off when taking orders from Indians. Semi-smiles when folks from other nationalities show up; but tries to shove the buffet down their throats, even if they aren't interested in the buffet and asked for menus!! (I personally witnessed this, with a couple of Japanese and a group of Americans.) When we were there for dinner, there was ... read more
