The Gamekeeper was recommended by clients back home (San Antonio) so we had to visit during our stay in Boone. What a great meal! Both the bison and elk were cooked to perfection, the service top notch, and the overall experience was incredible!
The staff were so friendly and the service was not only exceptional but our meals were also served in a timely fashion. The food was excellent and it was an overall wonderful experience!!

One reason we chose the Boone area for a fall getaway was to return to this outstanding restaurant. Our fourth visit did not disappoint! The menu is interesting and perfectly balanced to offer choices for various palettes. The ambience is beautifully simple and highlights the beauty of the mountains. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We look forward to another trip to Boone to visit the Gamekeeper.
Amazing food & wine! The staff could not have been better! We cannot wait to come back!
The food was amazing. We were seated next to large party with lots of crying kids that continued to bang on the table with silverware throughout the whole meal. We would have liked the staff to acknowledge this, being the resatueant is 4 mitchelenee star. Felt the situation should have been handled better. Not the experience we planed to have sadly.
