Great atmosphere staff is friendly treat you like your kin folk Great barbecue. Every time were down that way we make it a point to stop and eat. We have on occasion just left Bedford County to get the barbecue at smokehouse. Brisket pork and chicken great. Make sure you get the banana pudding. You will not be disappointed.
Hubby and I visited GSH yesterday after finding a recommendation for it at the cabin we were staying at in Fancy Gap. It was well worth the 30 min ride on the parkway! Don't miss their award winning ribs!!! Seriously!!! And the BBQ Baked Beans are the best I've ever tasted.
My favorite place in the world to eat! !! Everything you order is so good. And the staff is always excellent. I would give you 10 stars if that was possible .
Food was really tasty, but it was the people that made the experience wonderful. Felt like home folk by the time we left.
We loved the food and the staff was so friendly. Will definitely visit again when we are in Galax!
Absolutely the best BBQ and beans I've ever eaten! I hope I have the good fortune of being able to go back. If you're on a road trip or close by, you NEED to check them out!
