A special thank you to Dr.Harkins. Not only was she caring, compassionate and warm hearted towards our sick cat but towards me, her owner as well. I told her I was hard of hearing and immediately she asked if I would like her to write things out for me. It's so so so nice when people are understanding of communication issues and she really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable with the care provided for our pet. Will definitely be back for our other pets.
Two year ago our dog Chang needed cancer surgery. He had thyroid cancer. Dr. Rich and the entire staff was sensitive to us on ever aspect or his surgery, care and aftercare. He remained there two days and got the best care ever. If it wasn't for the wonderful staff and vets there, my little guy would have died from the cancer. Today nearly two years later (Nov 2nd is the 2 year anniversary) he is healthy, yappy (He loves to bark) as always , playful and most importantly healthy.
My family has been bringing our loved ones here since i was kid and the adult version of me has continued to do so. I recently had to say goodbye to a 22 pound hot mess of a pug named Molly who came into my life 11 years ago. She snored loud enough to shake the walls, was allergic to EVERYTHING, insisted on spending upwards of 30 minutes before finding the most ideal spot for urination, and I think I set some kind of record for vacuuming pet hair, (Men’s Division-30+year old class). Everyone here was wonderful. I'm just in the area for work and my dog came up lame after playing frisbee. I got a (non-emergency) appointment the same day and was in and out in probably 30 minutes. Nothing was seriously wrong so it was a quick visit but the front office staff and the vet were very friendly and helpful.
Highly recommend Gahanna Animal Hospital. The Doctors and Staff provide wonderful care for our animals.
Knowledgeable, empathetic, bonding, excellent communication and accommodations.. Pleasant veterinarian visits for you and your little to big family member from exciting beginning to mournful passing. Decisively recommended!
