Don't judge Gaffers from the outside. The food is great. The staff is warm and friendly, and it's clean. Simply put, it's a good ol' pub!

Came here with my buddy Chris back in sept. for a few drinks while i was in town had a lot of fun it felt like home.The bartender was AWESOME! and made the visit memorable. most definitely going to try and swing by for a few drinks again this weekend while i am in town again and this time im going to try the fish&chips.
Great fish and chips and the bartender was very polite.
Thank goodness their fish & chips are as good as they are. The atmosphere was dark, mildewy-smelling, dated and sad. For as many years as they've been around, they could definietly use a HUGE renovation on their establishment. It makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen when the carpet, I'm almost certain, is the same carpet they started with 40-something years ago. Their food is truly their only saving grace.
Food is great. I do think they need to turn the heat up.
