Chosen by son to celebrate a BIG birthday. Appetizers & entrees were scrumptious! Calamari & asparagus, scallops w/?, risotto w/scallops wrapped in prosciutto, boar on a bed of spinach and mashed potato & tiramisu for dessert. Service was par excellence!!
Gaetano's Batavia is a real gem. Outstanding food and service. The Gumbo Mambo Italiano is incredible. The prime rib and beef short rib are my favorites.
Honestly thought the food was beyond delicious. Wish it was not a 40 minute drive or I would dine here weekly!
Gaetano's in Batavia is like a vacation at home. The food and service is outstanding, the decor is so full of love. It is my go to place for dining out with friends and visitors and never fails to impress. The food is fresh, the mushroom risotto is delectable, as are all the dishes. The market in the basement has fantastic specialities.. my husbands favorite is their homemade Giardineria! We love Gaetano's in Batavia.
My beet salad was exceptional. My sangria was thirst quenching. My favorite, is by far, the wild boar. No words. Atmosphere? Well, thank you, Wendy, it's beautiful!
The server was the best part of our dining experience. The martini's were the second best thing. The worst part was the self-proclaimed blues singer/keyboardist hired to play live music. It was too loud & not appropriate for this fancy Italian restaurant. The zucchini blossoms were very tasty, but pricey. The pasta was good, but the sausage casing was rubbery, lacked fennel & crushed red pepper, & was old-tasting.
