In 1934, Denver's most notorious family, the Smalldones opened up an eatery in the North Side to become the heart of both Italian cuisine and an illicit operation. While drawing the neighborhood's attention to their famous pasta, they also drew the attention from police as Denver's only mafia operated in the basement. Always love coming here. The food is great, old school italian. I haven't had anything I didn't like. Service is great, and the music is old school 40's for a great atmosphere.
THE BEST Italian food around.... Wonderful atmosphere, friendly and personable staff and the drinks made personally by the owner, Ron, are absolutely tantalizing!!!

I ate at Gaetano's yesterday for the first time. I was very happy with my brunch - the Italian Skillet Breakfast. The coffee was really good, too! Great service and atmosphere!
I was visiting Denver from Chicago and we went to Gaetano's for dinner. It was a classy Neighborhood Italian Eatery love the music the decor and the food was delicious.
Meh.... it was ok food. Desert was ok. It was a busy night so service was slow.
We were looking for an Italian Restaurant in Denver and decided to go to the Highland area. We luckily found this place. When we walked in the atmosphere was fantastic with a Sinatra looking singer and a crowd who were having the time of their lives. Great experience. Seriously made our trip to Denver.
