Had the 1/3 lb burger with grilled onions and a swipe of mayo. Stands on its own for a burger.owners very friendly and Susan our waitress was spectacular coming from a waitress and bartender of 35 yrs. Definitely be back
Nice neighborhood restaurant. Great service & quality of food delicious too. Was a great idea to host WGN radio-Bill and Wendy Show.

I was introduced to Gabe's Place by a wonderful member of my congregation who lives in the area. I love its quaint southern feel; the food is good; and the staff are hospitable and professional. However, I do not get to visit as often as I would if I lived near by. Suggestion: Create a fish and shrimp entree'. I always have to order to meals for 1 piece of fish and shrimp.
