Hostess was not welcoming or friendly. When I was a hostess back in the day, we were taught to greet customers enthusiastically with a smile. We were not greeted upon entry, and the hostess coldly told us she had to clean a table in order to seat us. Once seated, it took a little while to be served. Once our order was placed, the food came out quickly and was good.
