About this business

In 2004 the team of Jimmy Liang, Peter Tse, and their partners Tony Liang, John Liang, and head chef Ming Cao, moved into the heart of Quincy and opened Fuji 1546, a 4,000 square foot, 112-seat restaurant with the longest bar in the city. Loyal customers from Fuji Restaurant along with newcomers are encouraged to enjoy a renovated menu while catching the Patriots game on either of the 3 flat screen televisions or large projection screen in the main dining room.

Multi-faceted restaurant provides Quincy residents with an all-purpose drinking and dining destination in the city's center. – In Short First and foremost, Fuji 1546 is dependable spot for fresh sushi and Japanese fare. But the restaurant, open until 1am nightly, is also a nightlife destination with a high-tech sound system and lively karaoke every Tuesday night. (Live music and DJs are also featured throughout the week.) Locals can also stop in for coffee and a pastry while surfing the net, as free wireless internet access ... read more

Best Sushi in Quincy...but the service??? – I will always go to Fuji for sushi. I've always had great food there and have no complaints on that end..however, the last time I was there I had to send my drink back three times becuse there was something wrong with the soda. The waitress was nice enough but I could see the bartender making faces, waiving her hands in the air and talking about me! Not so much fun being made fun of...all I wanted was a drink that tasted good!

The young owner screaming at stuff!! – I have been there a couple of times and food is ok/not bad, but a bit expensive for the price. The all-young-girls waitresses have no class and service differ by individuals. What we really did not like was the owner J.L was yelling at stuff for whatever mistakes, and it totally ruined our date. He created a disgusting atmosphere and left the place with rage!! It was very unnecessary and he should have thought about our presence (the customers), and we actually felt really bad for the w... read more

not the first bad experience here – While Fuji is a nice location and decor is new and shiny, the staff's service and attitude is not only almost always rude and inconsiderate. Probably because they are all very young girls, it's a young staff, may be cheaper. The amount of the food seems never to be consistent. The price is not the cheapest but unless the management trains better staff, why pay for something that you may feel frustrated about afterwards.

Great sushi and ambience. – Looks like a pretty trendy place, esp for Quincy. Feel like you're on Newbury but this place way bigger than any sushi place you'd ever find on Newbury... Has a great sashimi lunch special and the chef's choice includes only the good stuff. I've been here several times and this is always the case. The cuts aren't huge but they are decently sized and its a good deal. Service is ok. The wait staff is pretty friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in Quincy. It's better than most of t... read more

Good Food, Sub-par Service – A trendy spot, aimed towards the younger generation. Nothing really unique to offer besides the nice atmosphere (dim lighting and multiple plasma tvs). The sushi was pretty good, reasonably priced. The sushi chefs were suprisingly young, but this did not seem to really compromise the quality of the food. However, our server seemed to have ADHD. She ranged from overly attentive to completely ignoring us, and ended up bringing our dessert before our sushi. Overall, an ok experience, but will not go... read more

Fuji 1546 is the one! – Fuji 1546 is the great old crew from the original Fuji in Wollaston (they sold the name rights with the space to the new owners), and they've gotten even better in their funky, much larger new digs! This is easily among the best sushi in the Boston area, both the basics and more inventive fare. My 2 year-old loves the cooked stuff. When I'm not physically there, I'm probably at home having my faves delivered!

People are Confused – First of all, there is two Fuji's in Quincy and ppl are getting confused. Fuji's (original but under new mgmt) in Wollaston is very plain and okay. Fuji's 1546 is Quincy Center has a full bar and is much trendier. Plasmas everywhere (incl the bathroom) and dim colorful track lights. Don't forget about the hot bartendars there. Great hangout for drinks during the week.

User review by tricia1278 – It seems to me that the bad reviews here are not for Fuji 1546, but for Fuji. The original restaurant which is now owned by someone else. Fuji 1546 is a new restaurant down the street.
